Paying at the dentist is the worst.

So, you've had a good yarn with your dentist, your tooth pain is gone, and you're walking to the reception area to... pay.

That feeling of anxiety is returning. Did you transfer enough money over? Did that other bill come through? Will your card work?

Don't worry, we hate this part too. That's why we put our prices online, to remove the anxiety around nasty surprises at the reception desk. We've also put wonderful people there too.

And lastly, we've partnered with a range of payment providers. So even if you don't have the funds right now, there's a way for you to get the help you need.

Don't be embarrassed about your teeth.

Health Insurance

We accept all health funds or private health insurers and have on the spot claiming and quoting through HICAPS terminals.

So, if you're wanting to find out how much your health fund will provide for, prior to undergoing treatment, we can help.

We are also a preferred provider for HCF, which means, if you're a HCF member, you will benefit from higher coverage.

Denticare

If you're needing large-scale treatment and are unsure of how to pay for it, Denticare can help, with interest-free dental plans for general, cosmetic, orthodontic, and specialist treatments.

You can spread the total cost of your dental treatment across at least a 15-month period. There’s a wide range of dental treatments and services that are covered for up to $12,000.

You don’t have to worry about putting off fixing that cracked tooth or suffering the pain of that tooth decay.

Simply enquire with us to find out more.

Government Programs

Dental care should be accessible for all. That's why we offer Child Dental Benefits Scheme (CDBS), Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA), and Government Vouchers to eligible patients.

CDBS provides coverage for some or all dental services for children who qualify, and the DVA ensures that dental support is available for Veteran Gold Card or Veteran White Card holders.

Government vouchers are available to eligible individuals on the public dental treatment waiting list, and we accept these at our practice.

Afterpay

Afterpay is a 'buy now, pay later' service that may cover the treatment cost.

With Afterpay, you can get dental services now and pay in four interest-free installments, as long as you pay on time.

Simply download the 'Afterpay' app on your phone and talk to our team. It's important to let our reception team know you're considering this option beforehand, so we can assist where needed.
payment questions

Frequently asked questions about payments

I don't have the funds right now, but I need dental help. What can I do?
We get it. Dental care can be expensive. We've partnered with the State Government to accept government vouchers if you need urgent dental care and meet the eligibility criteria.
I'm conscious I may be judged for needing assistance with paying for my dental care.
Nope. We don't judge your teeth or your situation at Battery Hill Dental, and we never will. We've been in tough situations ourselves, and we keep that in mind when we interact with our community.
What do I need to bring if signing up for a payment plan?
It's important to let us know before your treatment that you're considering a payment plan, so we can get the paperwork ready.

You will need to bring photo ID (Australian Driver’s License or other government-issued photo ID with your current address), a credit or debit card (Mastercard or Visa) and provide contact details (2 contact phone numbers and an email address).
I'm anxious about pricing. What if I don't have the funds when I get to the reception desk?
If you're concerned about not having the funds for your treatment, please speak to the team at reception beforehand.
I have private health insurance. How do I check if I have any dental benefits remaining?
Simple. Either ring your health insurance provider, log in to their website portal, or swipe your health fund card when you pop in to see us, and we can find out for you.
